Title: Topic Selection and Research Design: Stories Behind Papers

Speaker: Ye Chusheng, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Economics and Management, Wuhan University; Editor-in-Chief of Economic Review; Executive Vice President of the Development Economics Society of the Chinese Society of Foreign Economic Theories; Member of the Decision Advisory Committee of the Wuhan Municipal People's Government. His main research field is development economics. He has published many economics papers in journals such as Social Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal, Management World, World Economy, China Industrial Economics and China Rural Economy, and has published many academic monographs. He has also published many philosophical papers in journals such as Philosophical Research and Philosophical Trends. He presides over more than 10 research projects including major projects of the National Social Science Fund, projects of the National Natural Science Fund, later-stage projects of the National Social Science Fund, and major projects of the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, and has won more than 10 important academic awards including the First Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievements in Institutions of Higher Education and the Second Prize of the 13th An Zijie International Trade Research Excellent Works Award.
