Ⅰ.School of Economics
The School of Economics, Shandong University was founded in 1988 and currently consists of eight departments and institutes (centers) : Department of Finance, Department of Economics, Department of Public Finance, Department of International Economics and Trade, Department of Risk Management and Insurance, Institute of Consumption and Development, Institute of International Economics and Industrial Organization, and Taiyue Center for Economic Research. The School of Economics has two first-level disciplines of Applied Economics and Theoretical Economics with the right to grant doctoral degrees and to recruit postdoctoral researchers, and the discipline of Applied Economics ranks A- in the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of Education. At present, there are 124 full-time teachers in the School of Economics, including 53 professors and 54 postdoctoral supervisors. The School of Economics has always adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and cultivating people, with the goal of building first-class economic disciplines, and continue to deepen the strategy of "Talents Gathering" "Research Flourishing" "Internationalization", so as to provide a theoretical and intellectual support for promoting the high-quality development of China's economy.
In combination with work needs, relying on postdoctoral stations of Applied Economics and Theoretical Economics, the School of Economics is now recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers at home and abroad. Postdoctoral researchers will enjoy competitive salary and excellent working conditions during their stay, and will be arranged to visit well-known academic institutions abroad and carry out cooperative research according to work needs. Preeminent postdoctoral researchers have no need to compete with others for head counts if they choose to stay as teachers, and if they successfully apply for the talent programs of Shandong University such as "Qilu Young Scholar", they will be appointed as professors directly.
Ⅱ. Requirements
1. Applicants should be under the age of 35 years old, and have been (or will be) granted a doctorate degree of well-known universities or research institutes at home and abroad within recent 3 years.
2. Applicants are expected to do full-time postdoctoral research work in the School of Economics, Shandong University for at least 21 months.

Research Field: Industrial Economics
1. Team Leader: Prof. Ping Lin
2. Research Interests: industrial economics, anti-monopoly and competition policy, innovation economics, digital economy
3. Research Plan: focus on the research of industrial economics, industrial organization economics, anti-monopoly and competition policy, innovation economics, microeconomics, international trade, experimental economics, etc.
4. Job Requirements:
(1) Applicants should have a high level of initiative and responsibility, good team spirit and interpersonal communication skills, strong scientific research ability and academic potential, fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing;
(2) Postdoctoral research plans should be forward-looking, innovative and feasible.
1. Team Leader: Prof. Donghua Yu
2. Research Interests: transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry, modern industrial system and high-quality industrial development in the Yellow River Basin
3. Research Plan: focus on the research of mechanism, path and dynamic mechanism of the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and high-quality development; evaluation, development law and construction path of modern industrial system.
4. Job Requirements:
(1) Applicants should have a good academic background and research experience with high-level academic papers published or accepted and be enthusiastic in long-term academic research, competent in applying, hosting and undertaking relevant research projects;
(2) Applicants should have experience in data analysis and empirical research, skilled in using econometric analysis software;

Research Field: Finance
1. Team Leader: Prof. Qunzi Zhang
2. Research Interests: asset pricing and financial risk, digital finance and fin-tech, macro-finance and monetary policy, corporate finance and enterprise innovation
3. Research Plan: focus on the research of financial big data analysis, asset pricing, financial risk, digital finance and fintech, behavioral finance, enterprise innovation and risk, corporate finance, etc.
4. Job Requirements:

2. Research Interests: artificial intelligence and economic analysis
3. Research Plan: focus on the research of the application, impact and response of artificial intelligence technology in economic analysis, including (but not limited to) the application of artificial intelligence in economics education and research; the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market, human capital accumulation and labor spatial allocation, and its relationship with the coordinated development of urban and regional economy; public policy analysis and design of artificial intelligence development and regulation; artificial intelligence, inequality and shared prosperity; artificial intelligence and climate change.

3. Research Plan: focus on the behavioral experiments and neuroscience experiments to study the laws of economic and financial decision-making, and publish research results in high-level journals at home and abroad

3. Research Plan: focus on carrying out in-depth research on improving the modern budget system, including but not limited to basic theoretical research on the modern budget system; research on the overall planning of financial resources; research on budget supervision system; research on comprehensive budget performance management; research on financial sustainability.

Research Plan: focus on the research of economic system and factor distribution pattern, analyzing the redistribution adjustment mechanism with tax, social security and transfer payment as the main means, exploring modern science and technology and income distribution, high-quality development and common prosperity

Research Field: International Trade

2. Research Interests: research on economic and trade issues under the interdisciplinary disciplines of world economy, international trade and regional and national studies
3. Research Plan: focus on the research of regional and national trade policies and national trade competitiveness construction in the period of world economic transition, and make high-level academic achievements

1. Team Leader: Associate Prof. Kaihao Liu
2. Research Interests: a wide range of research fields, including international trade, labor economics, health economics, development economics, environmental economics, consumer economics, fiscal and tax theory and policy, etc.
3. Research Plan: focus on the empirical research of China's economy (applied microeconomics), based on the micro data of households (or individuals) and enterprises, using the research methods such as DID, breakpoint regression (RD), Text Analysis and Natural Experiment to explore a range of interesting economic questions.
4. Job Requirements:

(2) Applicants should have experience in data analysis and empirical research, proficient in using analysis software such as STATA or PYTHON;

Ⅲ. Benefits and Support
1. Remuneration
The annual salary system is implemented for the postdoctoral researchers, and corresponding salary treatments are provided according to the categories (Preeminent, Special-Funded, Key-Funded and Project-Funded).
In addition to the salary provided by the university, the School of Economics and supervisors will provide additional support. Postdoctoral researchers can enjoy the reward policy for high-level scientific research achievements, and there is no ceiling on such scientific research rewards.
Especially excellent candidates can enjoy the "Special Researcher" treatment, in which the annual salary of the Special-Funded postdoctoral researcher can reach 500,000RMB (before tax, the same below), and the research start-up fund is 60,000 RMB; the annual salary of Key-Funded postdoctoral researcher can reach 450,000RMB, and the initial funding of scientific research is 60,000RMB. According to the specific situation, a preeminent postdoctoral researcher can be transferred to the position of assistant researcher, associate researcher, full researcher, or apply for "Qilu Young Scholar" and other talent programs.
2. Local policies

(9) Postdoctoral Innovation Talents Support Program of Shandong Province: gross salary of no less than 300,000RMB + sufficient scientific research funds (during the station, no less than 100,000RMB for social science)
(10) Postdoctoral Innovation Projects of Shandong Province: first-class 100,000RMB, second-class 50,000RMB, third-class 30,000RMB;

3. Selecting outstanding postdoctoral fellows to join the faculty or talent program
(1) Preeminent Postdoctoral Researcher: Those who meet the requirements of the assessment at the end of the term can be transferred to the position of faculty at the School of Economics of Shandong University. Successfully applying for the "Qilu Young Scholars" and other talent program of Shandong University can be promoted directly to professor or doctoral supervisor.
(2) Special-Funded, Key-Funded and Project-Funded postdoctoral researchers: Those who meet the requirements of the final assessment has the career prospects for an assistant professor, associate professor or professor appointment in Shandong University.
