On March 28, a delegation from Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Russia visited the School of Economics. Sun Shuqin, Vice Dean of the School of Economics of Shandong University, Han Juan, Director of International Programs of the School of Economics, and others met with the delegation. Xia Shuang, Assistant to the Rector of Irkutsk National Research Technical University, and Tatyana Davydova, Vice Dean of the Baikal BRICS School, visited together.

At 9:00 a.m., the launching ceremony of the Shandong University-Irkutsk National Research Technical University Economics 2+2 Joint Training Program was held in Zhixin Building. First of all, Sun Shuqin, Vice Dean of the School of Economics, introduced the characteristics of Shandong University's three-campus operation, discipline layout and the latest progress of the university's "Double First-Class" construction to the delegation. She pointed out that Shandong University attaches great importance to international academic exchanges and cooperation, and the 2+2 joint training program in economics between the two universities has laid a good foundation for the cooperation and exchanges between the two universities, and wished the cooperation between the two parties a success. Subsequently, Tatyana Davydova, Vice Dean of the Baikal BRICS School, introduced that since its establishment, the Baikal BRICS School of Irkutsk National Research Technical University has hoped to fulfill its school-running functions through vigorously expanding and deepening international exchanges and cooperation. As a young school, the BRICS School will actively cultivate international talents to serve the mission of internationalization, and truly enable students to have an international perspective through further cooperation with China and many other countries in the world. After the ceremony, Sun Shuqin, Vice Dean of the School of Economics of Shandong University, introduced the 2+2 joint training program in economics between the two universities. She pointed out that in recent years, the School has continuously strengthened the construction of the international school-running system, fully promoted the reform of education and teaching, and the strategy of "bringing in" and "going out" has enabled the School to actively create an international atmosphere. At present, the School has established substantive cooperation relations with more than 40 well-known universities in more than 10 countries and regions. The launch of the Shandong University-Irkutsk National Research Technical University Economics 2+2 Joint Training Program will further promote the internationalization of talent training between the two universities, and also provide strong talent support for the construction of the "Belt and Road" initiated by China. After the activity, the delegation from Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Russia visited the university museum and the New Year Painting Exhibition to experience traditional Chinese culture.
