Topic:On Axiomatic Unifications of Solutions to the Bargaining Problem and Applications
Abstract:
Bargaining is a fundamental aspect of social and economic interactions.The Nash axiomatic bargaining theorystands as a cornerstone paradigm in gametheory,inspiringavastliterature on axiomatic solutions and their practicalapplications.Prominentsolutions,such as theNash,Kalai-Smorodinskv,egalitarian,andproportionalsolutions,eachderivefrom a distinct set ofaxioms.Weestablish two distinct systems ofaxioms,eachleading to a unified bargainingsolution.Thecomprehensivesolution menus axiomatized in this paper contribute to a richer set of tools for analyzing and addressing real-world bargainingsituations.
